Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) is an offshoot of surfing that originated in Hawaii and experienced a huge boom! Variations include flat water paddling for outdoor recreation, fitness, or sightseeing, racing on lakes and canals, surfing waves, paddling in river rapids, yoga and even fishing. SUP offers a fun and relaxing activity that mostly anyone can do, it is also one of the best workouts out there. SUPing is a low impact exercise that is a combination of balance, strength, and endurance.
